Kaski. Kathmandu: Deputy General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre), Barshaman Pun, has said that the CpN (Maoist Centre) has not given priority to the government at present. At a press meet organized by Press Centre Nepal Kaski in Pokhara today, he said he would join the government only after the fresh mandate after the 2084 bs elections.

He also said that the Maoist Centre would try to save the present system. Leader Pun said, “We have brought the system by spending our blood and sweat, so the present system should be refined and strengthened further.” He said that the programmes launched by the Maoists to protect the system have also helped the present government.

Leader Pun also said that the government would not be involved in the formation and dissolution of the government. “The main opposition in the democratic system is the waiting government, but now we do not have the priority and interest to form the government and go to the government. We have gone with a campaign among the people to prepare for the next election. There is a way to do what to do after the collapse of the present government. That is, the government should be formed under the leadership of the first party even in terms of public opinion,” said Deputy General Secretary Pun.

Leader Pun, who is also a former finance minister, said a judicial inquiry committee should be formed into the alleged corruption at Pokhara International Airport. Deputy Secretary General Pun said, “The sub-committee of the parliament has given a report about the airport. On the basis of the report of that committee, a judicial inquiry committee with experts should be formed and action should be taken against the culprits. ’
