Summit Air flight makes emergency landing in Kathmandu after technical snag

Kathmandu. Flight 301 of Summit Air from Kathmandu to Lukla made an emergency landing after it developed a technical snag.

Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) spokesperson Rinji Sherpa said that the pilot decided to bring the aircraft back to Kathmandu after the plane reached Phaflu area of Solukhumbu in the morning. The aircraft made an emergency landing at 7:24 am.

It is said that the problem in the aircraft’s engine has been identified and the technical team is currently repairing it. There were 19 passengers on board, including the crew. All passengers are safe, the airport office said.
