Parliamentary sub-committee submits report on school education bill

Kathmandu. A parliamentary sub-committee formed by the Education Committee under the House of Representatives has submitted its report on the School Education Bill. The sub-committee formed under the coordination of Chhabilal Bishwakarma submitted the report of the bill to the committee at a meeting held at Singha Durbar on Sunday.

Presenting the report of the sub-committee, Coordinator Bishwakarma said that the sub-committee has made 108 points in the bill containing 15 chapters and 163 clauses. He also said that 101 clauses have been amended in the report and 13 new sections have been added.

According to him, the sub-committee has removed four sections and 13 sections have been included in the new section. He also said that 62 clauses of the bill have been agreed to be as proposed by the government.

“The sub-committee has prepared a 108-point report after discussing the bill with amendment proposals registered in 1,758 points by 161 honourable members in 152 groups of 152 groups,” he said. Out of the total 163 clauses of the bill, 101 clauses have been amended. 13 new sections have been added. Four sections have been removed. 13 sections have been replaced by a new one. The 62 clauses have been finalized in the form proposed by the government. ’

A meeting of the committee held on March 27, 2018 had formed a sub-committee under the coordination of Bishwakarma. The government is preparing to pass the bill from the current session of parliament.
