In a letter addressed to IPPAN on April 29, “Mr. Chairman’s Office, Securities Board. “It has been understood.

The letter reads, “… In the context of such allegations by quoting the names of the president and other office-bearers of the independent power producers’ organization, responsible organization like Nepal, regarding the chairman of the board, if there is any basis or factual details regarding the allegation, the board date 2082 should be provided and the official opinion of the organization in this regard should also be provided. 01. Request is as per the decision of 25. ’

The letter does not specify whether the board’s decision is the decision of the board of directors or the decision of the board chairman.

“In the letter, it has been said that according to the decision of the board on May 25, is that decision of the board of directors or the chairman or the executive directors? There is no mention of this, what kind of letter is this?” a top source in the board told Singha Durbar.

The accused will ask for proof?

On the other hand, the private power producers, who have alleged that they have demanded commission in the IPO issue, have said that they have submitted evidence in this regard to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority. “We have submitted the audio and messages to the CIAA asking for the commission, the securities board should not ask us for evidence, but go to the CIAA and submit an explanation. ’

Independent power producers, however, said it was ridiculous for the chairman of the board to ask for evidence from them. “We have lodged a complaint with the CIAA that we have been asked for commission in the name of the board chairman. That’s the power producer said.

Prime Minister’s Office also reached proof

The power producers associated with IPPAN have also submitted the necessary evidence to the CIAA and the Prime Minister’s Office. “We have submitted the commission-related evidence to the CIAA and sent it to the Prime Minister’s Office after a bit of pressure. The power producer told Singha Durbar.

They have also said that they have provided evidence to Prime Minister Oli and are looking at what kind of action they will take now. “The Prime Minister is saying that he will not do corruption and will not allow it to be done, we have submitted proof that we have asked for commission, what will you do now? We are waiting. Another power producer said.

Demand dismissal

On the other hand, there is a heated debate in parliament on the issue of demanding commission from energy producers in the name of the chairman of the Securities Board. Nepali Congress lawmaker Binod Chaudhary, CpN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Madhav Sapkota, RASTRIYA Prajatantra Party lawmaker Roshan Karki, RASTRIYA Prajatantra Party lawmaker Hari Dhakal, among others, have demanded a serious probe into the matter.

In the name of the chairman of the board, some middlemen had made public the matter of demanding a commission of up to 7 percent from the power producers for the approval of the IPO.
