Madhes province raises Rs 11.16 billion from life insurance in nine months

Parsa. The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) Madhes Province Office has collected Rs 11.16 billion as life insurance fees in the nine months of the current fiscal year. The office had collected Rs 14.01 billion in life insurance premium last year.

Chief of the office, Preeti Dev, said that 86,670 people have taken life insurance in the nine months of the current fiscal year. During the same period, the office paid Rs 2.54 billion in claims. He informed that 39.64 crore claims are yet to be paid.

NeA has collected Rs 127.03 billion in life insurance fees from all seven provinces till Mid-April.
