Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal Police has arrested three persons for forging fake documents. Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office made them public at a press conference on Thursday.
Police had raided various government offices, local levels, banks and financial institutions and educational certificates at Futung of Tarakeshwar Municipality-7 in Kathmandu.
The arrestees have been identified as Anjani Bayalkoti, 46, of Devi Chowk of Tarakeshwar Municipality-2, Nirmal Khadka, 28, of Okhaldhunga and Anju Khatri, 23, of Daha Chowk of Chandragiri Municipality-1 in Makawanpur.
Investigation has revealed that Byalkoti has been forging documents of government and non-government offices, recommendation letters of local levels, certificates of various educational institutions, land ownership certificates and driving licenses for the last eight years.
According to police, he used to pay rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month to two assistants for designing fake documents. It has been revealed that they used to make fake land ownership parts for the purpose of taking loans from banks from dependent visas, marriage certificates.
Information Officer at the Office, Superintendent of Police Kazi Kumar Acharya, said that it has been found that those going to Japan on student visas are sent to Japan through courier by making statements of cooperatives.
Investigation has revealed that they provide holograms of various educational institutions and government offices, and also make educational certificates and experience letters of different levels to go on a worker visa to japan and other countries.
It has been found that Nepali nationals living abroad make fake medical cards of Manmohan Memorial Hospital, Salyan District Hospital, Bir Hospital etc. for PR and green card applications abroad. Information Officer Acharya said that fake bank statements of all ‘A’ class banks are also made for visit visa.
Police recovered 42 migration certificates, 60 character certificates, 110 academic transcripts, five marriage registration certificates, 50 provisional certificates and 10 land ownership registration certificates from their possession.
Letter pads of various cooperativesocieties, statement sheets of various banks and cooperatives and various types of recommendation letters provided by the local level were recovered from their possession, police said. They have been sent to the District Police Range, Bhadrakali for further investigation and necessary action.
