Kathmandu. CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has stressed the need of preparing the basis for a single political party to lead the country for five years.
He said this while speaking at an interaction programme with private sector entrepreneurs on the current economic situation of Nepal organized by the CPN-UML in Kathmandu and the initiatives to be taken by the political parties in the context of the upcoming budget.
He said the process of reform would be weakened until a strong state government was formed in the country. He stressed the need to build a strong decisive national power. Stating that a single political party should prepare the basis for running the government for five years instead of a coalition government in the upcoming elections, he said policy reforms could not take place unless the national parties were strengthened.
Stating that the private sector should stand united to strengthen the national parties, he said that everyone was facing problems in administrative hassles and reforms.
General Secretary Pokharel said, “Unless a strong state is formed in the country, we will build a strong decisive national power in the sense that the process of reform will be weak.” This is not a coalition government. In the sense that mulu should be taken in the direction of forming a strong government, why do we believe that the uml or congress should prepare the basis for running the government within five years, even if the UML or the Congress wins the upcoming election together? But as long as you have to strengthen the national parties, the private sector does not stand united. Until then, these things are difficult. ‘
“In that sense, reform should also be your resolve. It’s not just about demanding. Creating an environment is equally important. There is a matter of administrative problems and reforms. This is a problem faced by every sector in Nepal. We have made you more than who made Nepal’s bureaucracy greedy. On the other hand, those who are said to be honest are like those who spend without work. The corrupt may earn up to 15 percent of the investment rather than how much corruption they do. They may have taken it to Nokshan. But delaying will lead to 100 percent loss. That is, the cost will be doubled,” he said.
General Secretary Pokharel said that if the monetary policy is not stabilized, the risks of business will always remain. Stability of monetary policy is essential for economic development, he said.
