Finance Ministry cadre Shobha Kanta Poudel promoted to secretary, paves way for him to become revenue secretary

Kathmandu. Joint Secretary Shobha Kanta Poudel has been promoted to the post of Secretary. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday promoted Poudel to the post of secretary.

Poudel is a cadre of the Ministry of Finance. Poudel, who passed the joint secretary examination in number 1, has served as the director general of the Department of Internal Revenue and Customs. With the promotion of secretary, the way has been opened for Poudel to become revenue secretary.

Poudel, who is considered close to the Nepali Congress, is likely to become revenue secretary in a few months.
