Kathmandu. The arrears of government offices, organized organizations and other institutions, committees, provincial bodies and local levels have crossed Rs 1,284 billion.
According to the 62nd annual report of the Auditor General released today, arrears amounting to Rs 91.59 billion have been added in the last one year i.e. fiscal year 2080/81 alone.
According to the Auditor General’s 62nd report, the updated arrears pointed out from the audit towards federal government offices, provincial government offices, local levels and institutions amount to Rs 733.19 billion. The updated arrears have increased by 9.45 percent compared to last year.
Similarly, the total amount to be settled by taking action against additional audit arrears, revenue arrears, foreign grants and loans for research admission has reached Rs 1,284.20 billion.
In this way, the total arrears so far have exceeded Rs 1284.20 billion. The federal government offices have rs 375.47 billion, state government offices Rs 30.48 billion, local level rs 209.28 billion and committees and other institutions Rs 117.94 billion.
