Kathmandu. In one year, arrears have increased by Rs 91.59 billion. According to the 62nd annual report released by the Office of the Auditor General on Wednesday, an audit of Rs 9,262.36 billion showed arrears of Rs 91.59 billion.
Out of this, rs 47.74 billion is pending with federal government offices, Rs 4.20 billion from provincial government offices, Rs 25.32 billion from local levels and Rs 14.33 billion from committees and other institutions.
In the 62nd report of the Auditor General, the up-to-date arrears pointed out by the audit of federal government offices, provincial government offices and local levels have been found to be Rs 733.19 billion.
Of this, Rs 375.47 billion is for federal government offices, Rs 209.29 billion for local governments and Rs 117.97 billion for committees and other institutions.
The amount to be settled in addition to the arrears of federal and provincial government offices, local levels, committees and other institutions i.e. audit arrears, revenue arrears, foreign grants and loans to be taken on time has been found to be Rs 551.1 billion.
A total of 28.29 billion tests have been conducted this year. A total of Rs 14.68 billion has been recovered from this year’s audit.
