Kathmandu. Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the CPN-UML would not use non-resident Nepali organisations for party interests.
He said this while addressing the World Conference of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) in Kathmandu on Wednesday. He pledged to use the non-resident Nepali organisations only for the benefit of the diaspora and the country.
He also urged the non-resident Nepali organizations to run according to the law and argued that it would be arbitrary to move ahead by breaking the law as the present world is of law. He also urged the government to save the non-resident Nepali organisations from becoming mass organisations of political parties.
Prime Minister Oli said, “You should run in a lawful manner. This is the world of law. This is the age of law. It is arbitrary to break the law and move forward in this era, it should not be done. Good conclusions will come out. Let this conclave conclude for the survival of this institution. In order to save this organization from becoming a people’s organization of the Political Party, save this organization from being used for the benefit of anyone else and be successful in advancing it as an organization that works and dedicates to the welfare of the entire Nepali diaspora and Nepal. For that, emphasis is on unity, emphasis on method. The government will always support legal activities. It’s with me too. The CPN-UML, whose chairman I am, will also support the party in the legal matters. The CPN-UML will not use non-resident Nepali organisations for their own interests and party interests. It will be used in the interest of the diaspora and in the interest of the country. ’
Prime Minister Oli stressed the need to make non-resident Nepali organisations work in the interest of the country by refraining from being used for anyone’s interests.
