Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party MP Anisha Nepali has commented that the country’s federal system is like an expired medicine. Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, MP Nepali said this.
She has commented that Nepal has been placed on the grey list when trying to learn from the world system and economy. She asserted that it is clear that moving from a unitary state to a federal one in the name of solving the problems seen in the country is fatal. She said that the current system is not progress but regression.
She said that the choice of the system of governance, the selection of the system of representation, the determination of the form of government and the appropriate distribution of economic, social and political rights should not be like that.
She said, “Now the federal system of the country is becoming like an expired medicine, Mr. Speaker. When trying to learn from the world, Nepal fell into the gray list today. It is clear that moving a unitary state towards a federal one in the name of solving problems is dangerous. This system is not progress but regression. First of all, when it comes to restructuring the state, various things have affected it, Mr. Speaker. The choice of the system of governance, the selection of the system of representation, the determination of the form of government and the appropriate distribution of economic, social and political rights should be. But that doesn’t seem to be the case here.’
She objected to the government’s detention of RPP leaders after the Tinkune incident because they held different views.
