Kathmandu. Arcs Group has handed over 18 Jubao vans with a capacity of fourteen seats to Swayambhu Harati Tours and Travel. The vans were handed over to the travels by organizing a program at Aranya Boutique Hotel Nagpokhari on Monday.

The Arcs Group has stated that the van, manufactured in China, is a state-of-the-art electronic vehicle. It is said to be especially suitable for group travel, shuttle services and commercial transportation. It is suitable for comfortable travel with eco-friendly and low operating costs, said Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, Chairman of Arcs Group. He informed that the Jubao van has been introduced in the Nepali market with the full commitment of the Arcus Group.

He said, ‘We have brought it after a lot of hard work, because it has many features, including its versatility. It has 11 and 14 seats. They have taken 18 at a time and will also use it in other places. There are plans to expand it further. Why do we need EVs? It makes a significant contribution to environmental protection. Since facilitation is also being done according to the condition of our roads, EVs should be given importance. If the customs duty on EVs increases, the revenue that is currently coming in will not come, and the situation will be the same as with petrol and diesel vehicles.’

Swayambhu Harati Tours and Travel operator Ujjan Maharjan informed that they bought the Juabo van because it was comfortable and attractive. He said that the main thing is that it is available in 14 seats and is suitable for Nepal’s roads. He informed that there are no other problems with the van and that he is confident that it will be comfortable to travel in it.

He said, ‘We have bought this van for commercial purposes. We have chosen this vehicle because its range and look are also attractive. Now there is a clearance problem in Nepal. This is the one that is suitable for commercial purposes. The main thing is that it is a 14-seater and it is new, so we have chosen this one. And, it feels comfortable even under our road conditions.’

President Shrestha also informed that the van will improve the quality of transportation, make a significant contribution to environmental protection, and help move Nepal towards a sustainable green future.
