Kathmandu. In the first nine months of the current fiscal year, the current account was in surplus by Rs 210.22 billion. In the same period of the previous year, the current account was in surplus by Rs 179.83 billion.
The current account, which was in surplus by Rs 1.35 billion in the same period of the previous year, has been in surplus by Rs 1.55 billion in the review period. Net capital transfer during the review period was Rs 7.71 billion. Such transfer during the same period of the previous year was Rs 4.78 billion.
Similarly, direct foreign investment (equity only) of Rs 8.96 billion has been inflowed during the review period. Such direct foreign investment (equity only) of Rs 6.49 billion was inflowed during the same period of the previous year. The balance of payments position in the first nine months of the current fiscal year was in surplus by Rs. 346.23 billion. In the same period of the previous year, the balance of payments position was in surplus by Rs. 365.16 billion.
The balance of payments position in US dollars, which was in surplus by Rs. 2.75 billion in the same period of the previous year, has been in surplus by Rs. 2.55 billion in the review period.
