Kathmandu The Nepal government has expressed concern over the rising tension between India and Pakistan.
26 Indian tourists, including a Nepali citizen, lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India on April 22. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday expressed concern over the rising tension between India and Pakistan following the incident.
The statement said that Nepal and India stand united in solidarity in this hour of sorrow and pain. Nepal immediately and unequivocally condemned the barbaric terrorist attack in line with its firm stand against all forms of terrorism.
“Nepal stands with all sides in the fight against terrorism. In line with its principled stand, Nepal will not allow any hostile force to use its territory against its neighboring countries,” the ministry said in a statement. The ministry hopes that the tension will ease and reaffirm its commitment to lasting peace and stability in the region.
