Kathmandu. Asian Thai Foods Pvt. Ltd., one of the leading noodle manufacturing companies in Nepal, has launched its second production unit in Gobari, Ramnagar, Ward No. 6, Kapilvastu Municipality, Lumbini Province.
On Wednesday, in a special ceremony, Jaju Group Chairman and Asian Thai Foods Managing Director Mahesh Jaju formally inaugurated the new unit by performing puja according to Vedic rituals. The first unit of the industry was established in Biratnagar, Morang two decades ago. Based on the same experience, the company has established its second production center in Kapilvastu.
It has been informed that the production of some new noodle brands including the company’s popular brands – ‘Preeti’, ‘Tupm’, ‘Rampam’ – will be started from this new unit. The company has been exporting these products to third countries including India.
Spread over an area of about two and a half bighas, the industry will initially produce noodles, and there are plans to gradually add other snack production lines. This unit is expected to contribute to employment and industrial development in Lumbini Province.
