Kathmandu. CPN (UML) Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has commented on the unnecessary rumors and political accusations made by the government regarding the removal of a Joint Secretary-level employee. Participating in the discussion on the policy and program of the upcoming fiscal year in the House of Representatives’ meeting on Tuesday, MP Bhattarai said this.

He said that the management of employees under the government falls within the natural right of the government. MP Bhattarai also reminded that the government led by Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal had removed the Army Chief and the Chief Secretary.

He also accused the previous Prachanda-led government of removing the Chief Secretary and creating the post of National Security Advisor, which was not done. Why is it that the person who removed the Army Chief and the Chief Secretary is now being shot in the heart by removing the Joint Secretary? He asked.

He said, ‘The government removed some employees. That is also an exclusive right of a government. Employees are subordinate to the government. It can be reviewed. I want to tell Comrade Prachanda that you removed the Chief of Army Staff. Understand it once. Remember it once, you removed the Chief Secretary who was working in the previous term. But you created a National Security Advisor post that did not exist. And who else did you bring in as the Chief Secretary? And why is there such great concern and a bullet in the heart when KP Oli’s government removed a joint secretary? It is like a bullet in the heart.’

He urged not to view the management done due to the lack of ‘tuning’ between the government and employees as unnatural.
