Kathmandu. CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal has said that the current government has become a burden for the country. Chairman Nepal said this in a conversation with media persons in the Parliament building premises.
He alleges that the current government has not shown interest in any area to protect, save the current system, instill hope in the people, solve the problems of the youth, and bring about fundamental changes in the country’s economy. Chairman Nepal said that the government has brought policies and programs only to uphold tradition, and argued that the government has become not only result-less but also purposeless.
He said that although an alternative to the government should be found, there will be no alternative until the two major political parties come together.
President Nepal said, “Rather than changing the government, policies and programs have been presented saying that something must be brought to uphold tradition. Just as the government was result-less in the past, it is now purposeless as well. It has abandoned the good things of the past. It has also repeated old things. It is in a state of stagnation and status quo. An alternative to this government must be found. But finding an alternative is not enough. Because two parties have formed the government together. No one can form a government until two parties unite.” This government has not shown any interest in protecting this system, saving it, instilling hope in the people, solving the problems of the youth, or making a radical change in the country’s economy. Therefore, it has become a burden for the country.’
President Nepal accused the government of being inactive and in a status quo situation.
