Kathmandu. CPN (UML) MP Surya Bahadur Thapa has said that the statements targeting CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal that the government will collapse today have only served to tarnish the media and increase noise pollution in society.
Speaking during a special session of the House of Representatives meeting held on Monday, he said this. MP Thapa said that even after the two major parties and other parties in the country agreed to run the government in turns and brought policies and programs, the moves against the government are continuing.
He said that expressions like ‘the government will collapse today, it will collapse tomorrow, I have arranged everything, it will no longer exist’ are continuing and that those lies and nonsense have proven to be meaningless. He also questioned how many tongues and lies the leader has, targeting Maoist Chairman Dahal, should Nepalis continue to listen to him.
He said, ‘Today, there is a numerically strong government in the country. The government is moving forward with a consensus formed by two major parties and other parties, with the announcement of leading the government for 24 months in turn and then for the rest of the period, and the government’s policy and program have also been announced. But since then, the moves against the government have continued every day. Statements like “Today the government will fall, tomorrow it will fall, I have arranged everything, it will no longer exist” continue to color the media and cause noise pollution in society. But the government is moving forward. Such statements and false nonsense have proven to be meaningless. How long should we Nepalis continue to listen to such a leader, considering him a capable leader with many tongues and who can lie day and night?’
He argued that the last 20 months of Dahal’s rule were visible. He also believed that the practice of the Pakistani model and the habit of opening corruption files were visible during that time. He also alleged that many forms of misrule were manifested during that time.
