Kathmandu. Citizens Bank Limited has introduced the ‘My-ASBA’ facility for the first time in Nepal to provide the facility of C-ASBA and CRN through the mobile banking app.
The bank has made arrangements to apply for and obtain C-ASBA and CRN numbers from the mobile banking app with the aim of making it easier for customers to trade securities.
Rojina Tiwari, Head of Demat and C-ASBA Department, told SinghaDurbar.com, “My-ASBA is a feature used to fill share applications in the mobile app. In this, customers can fill (apply) for IPO/FPO using mobile banking. Even if the customer’s CRN number is not registered, our mobile banking You can also register your CRN number from the app without visiting the bank. IPO can also be filled from this.”
Customers must have an account and mobile banking with Citizens Bank to use My-ASBA. But he says that it does not matter where the customer’s demat account is.
Informing customers that there is no charge for using this feature, Head of Department Tiwari added, “With this, customers can check the result of the company’s share allotment without going to any branch of the bank, whether the applicant has been successful or not. “You can check the information on the mobile application itself,” she said, adding that many people are using this feature.
The ‘My-ASBA’ feature, which was launched for the first time in Nepal, is available only at Citizens Bank.
