Inaruwa. The number of domestic and foreign tourists has increased in the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, famous for its deer and birds. The number of domestic and foreign tourists in the reserve has increased in the current fiscal year compared to the previous one.
From last Shrawan to Chaitra mid-July, 8,415 domestic tourists, 66 SAARC countries and 210 other foreign tourists visited the reserve, informed the reserve’s conservation officer, Bhupendra Saad Yadav.
According to Yadav, the reserve has collected revenue of Rs 2.5 million 19 thousand 166 from the number of tourists. Bhupendra Prasad Yadav, senior conservation officer of the reserve, said that the number of tourists has increased since the beginning of winter.
The reserve administration has stated that tourists come to the reserve to see and observe rare arnas found only in Nepal, newly hatched rhinos, and guest birds from countries including Siberia. The reserve is home to 520 species of birds.
Recently, the Koshi Provincial Government has launched various campaigns to attract tourists from neighboring India.
Just a few days ago, the provincial government had launched a sticker campaign to attract tourists near Bhantabari, Kosi Rural Municipality-8, on the Nepal-India border, so that Indian vehicles and tourists do not face any inconvenience within the province.
