Inaruwa. The government has set the age limit for Nepalese citizenship at 16 years. But Arjun Bhujel, who has been working at New Vishal Sekuwa Corner in Inaruwa-3, Sunsari district headquarters, has not been able to obtain citizenship even at the age of 28. He has neither any documents nor any support. Bhujel was deprived of citizenship after his parents were unaccounted for.

“I don’t even know where I was born,” Bhujel told RSS. Bhujel, who spent nine years in a children’s home in Biratnagar, said he didn’t even know which home he spent it in. He ran away from there when he was nine years old and started working in a Biratnagar hotel.

After learning the trade from Biratnagar, Bhujel is now working at New Vishal Sekuwa Corner in Inaruwa. He has no information about his parents or his home. Before working here, his name was Changhe. Now he is known by the name Arjun Bhujel. Bhujel has been working here for a year. .

“Not knowing about parents and birthplace has become a problem in obtaining citizenship,” he said. He has urged to take the initiative to obtain citizenship. RSS
