Kathmandu. The United States Department of State has approved an aid package worth three billion ten thousand million US dollars for training, maintenance and necessary support for combat aircraft to Ukraine, the Pentagon said today.

The said assistance includes aircraft modifications, pilot training, maintenance support, additional equipment, ground equipment and special program systems. The companies involved in this assistance are mainly American organizations that provide combat aircraft production and technical services.

However, this assistance does not include any new aircraft. The aircraft will be provided by European allies, not by the US government. This assistance is a continuation of another agreement worth two billion six hundred and sixty six million rupees, approved in December last year, which provided mission planning systems and maintenance equipment. Allied countries such as the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Belgium have so far announced that they will provide Ukraine with a total of nineteen fighter jets.

More aircraft are expected to be delivered throughout 2025. According to an international aviation information source, one aircraft was recently brought to a US military base in Tucson, which was later sent to Poland. According to local media reports, the parts of the aircraft were taken from a storage facility called ‘Davis-Manthan’ near Tucson.

According to the US Air Force, the aircraft have been used in the past but are not currently in a flight condition. They will be used as spare parts for the aircraft that Ukraine will receive. The statement said the planes were missing critical parts such as engines and radar and were not in a condition to be put back into service. Just last week, Ukraine and the US struck a deal on vital natural resources. Although the deal was not made public, it is estimated to be worth billions of dollars.
