Mahaprasad Adhikari on the Governor Recommendation Committee

Kathmandu. Mahaprasad Adhikari has been appointed to the Governor Recommendation Committee. The Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to keep former Governor Adhikari in the recommendation committee.

The government had formed a selection committee under the leadership of Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel on Chaitra 11 to recommend the governor. The members of the committee included former Governor Vijayanath Bhattarai and economist Dr. Bishwa Poudel. Former Governor Bhattarai had resigned, saying that middlemen were dominant in the appointment of the governor.
