‘Negotiations with Teachers’ Federation have progressed positively’: Education Minister Pant

Kathmandu. Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Pant has said that the ongoing talks with the Teachers’ Federation are moving in a positive direction. He also informed the media persons at the ministry after the talks on Tuesday night that the talks with the teachers are being finalized as soon as possible.

It is reported that the teachers also presented themselves positively in the talks. The talks between Education Minister Raghuji Pant and the officials of the Federation lasted from 8 pm to 10:30 pm on Tuesday night. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak also participated in the talks.

In addition, a team of teachers led by President Laxmikishore Subedi from the Federation participated in the talks. The talks between the government and the agitating teachers’ federation on Monday progressed positively, and the talks were resumed today.

Teachers’ federations have been protesting since Chaitra 20, making various demands. Due to this, teaching and learning in community schools across the country has been affected since the beginning of the academic session 2082.
