Kathmandu. CPN (Unified Socialist) Chief Whip Metmani Chaudhary has warned that the day will come when the government will flee from Singha Durbar and Baluwatar if the demands of teachers are not addressed.

Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, MP Chaudhary gave this warning. He commented that if the Education Act is not brought as soon as possible to fulfill the legitimate demands of teachers, the rulers will have to flee. He accused the government of oppressing teachers instead of fulfilling their legitimate demands.

He said, “I sincerely request you to finalize the Education Bill as per the demands of the teachers. Otherwise, you will have to flee from Singha Durbar and Baluwatar. You must have heard that the rulers fled. You must have read it. You only need to look at Bangladesh to see that majority and two-thirds votes do not work in front of the people.”

He strongly condemned the government for its barbaric and oppressive behavior towards teachers, on behalf of the party’s parliamentary party.
