Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against nine people, including the Chief Administrative Officer, in a special court, alleging corruption during the construction of an agricultural road in Dhankaul Rural Municipality, Sarlahi.
A case has been filed in the special court against Chief Administrative Officer Krishna Mohan Prasad Sah, Engineer Upendra Prasad Sah, Assistant Fifth Mohammad Rafiq, and Sub-Engineer Shashinjan Kumar Singh, claiming a compensation of Rs. 779,025, for committing irregularities in the construction of an agricultural road contrary to the technical cost estimate.
The commission has also filed a case against Dhankaul Rural Municipality Accountant Abhay Kumar Sah, Consumer Committee Chairman Bopendra Raya, Secretary Inarjit Sah, Treasurer Suratiya Kumari, and Ward Chairman Shyambabu Sah of Ward No. 6, claiming a similar compensation. Commission spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel informed that a case has been filed.
