Kathmandu. Nepali Congress MP Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that the Congress cannot tolerate the brutality committed by the government against teachers.
BP Koirala made this statement at the book launch of ‘BP’s Socialism and Local Government’ and the symposium ‘The Significance and Relevance of BP’s Socialist Thought in Today’s Context’ organized by Socialist International Nepal in Kathmandu on Monday.
MP Koirala said that the brutality committed by the government against teachers on Sunday was not only condemnable but also disgusting. He said that the Congress cannot tolerate such acts. He said that he had nothing to say to the Congress ministers in the government in collaboration with the UML, and that those outside the government should have the courage to point out the mistakes and shortcomings.
He suggested that the workers should have the courage to point out the mistakes and shortcomings committed by the government, and he assured that he would give them the courage to do so. He said, “The brutality that the government committed against teachers yesterday is not only condemnable, it is also disgusting. A party like the Nepali Congress cannot tolerate this. That is why I have said, our friends who are in the government, they should cooperate and go, I have nothing to say about it with the UML. You, those of us who are outside, should have the courage to point out the mistakes and shortcomings committed by this government, I am here to give you courage.”
He emphasized that now we should raise our voices not only for the party but also for the nation.
