Kathmandu. Economist Prof. Dr. Vishwambhar Pyakurel has said that it is necessary to emphasize policy reforms for Nepal’s sustainable economic development.
Speaking at the launch of the book ‘IMBARC Research Review: The Path to Sustainable Nepal – Nepal’s Policy Challenges in Sustainability and Financial Inclusion’ published by the Embark College’s Embark Research Network, he said this.
In a discussion session organized on the topic of research on stability and financial inclusion as policy solutions, economist Pyakurel said, “It is necessary to emphasize policy reforms for sustainable economic development, pointing out the importance of digital technology and innovative financial instruments to promote financial access and inclusion.” .”
The panel discussion, which included Dr. Nawaraj Adhikari, Executive Director of Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), and Dr. Sanjeev Subba, Founder of Kathmandu Fintech, clarified the role of financial inclusion and stability in Nepal’s economic development and provided important suggestions for formulating policy guidelines.
On the occasion, Dr. Stephen Driver, Principal of Embark College, and Ashish Thakur, Executive Director of the College, discussed the College’s mission, the College’s commitment to building a sustainable Nepal through education and research, and the importance of new policies and programs brought about by the international collaboration with the University of Roehampton.
