Bagmati. One person has died after being hit by a passenger bus on the road in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-8 of Makawanpur along the East-West Highway.
36-year-old Parbej Ansari, a resident of Kataiya, Sakhuwa Parsauni Rural Municipality-3, Parsa, died after being hit by a passenger bus (Na 7 Kha 1101) heading from Pokhara to Udayapur Katari, informed the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Aryal.
Ansari, who was seriously injured in the bus accident, died this morning during treatment at the Hetauda Hospital. It has been revealed that the deceased Ansari is the owner of the truck (Na 5 Kha 8668). Superintendent Ansari said that Ansari died after being hit by a bus while walking on foot to repair a broken-down truck in the same area after calling a mechanic to repair the truck and take the mechanic and the goods to the repair shop.
The police said that the bus that hit him and its driver, 39-year-old Yubaraj Majhi, a resident of Katari Municipality-2 in Udayapur, have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
