Humla. The Yari Naka Customs Office in the northern part of Humla has reopened after four months. The office, which was closed since December 10 due to extreme cold, has reopened.
Services resumed after Office Chief Ramraj Jaisi reached Hilsa again. ‘At that time, the office was closed after informing the department after the snow started falling in the area, and the office has reopened from Sunday,’ said Office Chief Jaisi.
To go from the headquarters to the Yari Naka Customs Office, one has to cross the Nara Lekh road. During snowfall, the road section is completely closed. As the Hilsa-Simkot road project has started to clear the snow accumulated in Nara Lake, it is expected that transport services will also be operational soon.
Once the transport services are operational, the import of goods from Taklakot will also resume.
