Road expansion by demolishing huts

Myagdi. Residents of Malika Rural Municipality-6 Darwang have themselves demolished the houses and sheds built for various purposes to widen the road. Malika Rural Municipality-6 Ward Chairman Path Bahadur Roka said that the locals demolished the structures of their houses to widen the road through the Darwang Bazaar Road Upgradation Project.

He informed that the road, which was previously 3.5 meters wide, was widened to 5.5 meters by removing the structures on the right and left sides. A 400-meter-long drain has been constructed on both sides of the road towards Hulakchowk, Tallo Darwang, Pulchowk and the suspension bridge.

Malika Rural Municipality provided a grant of Rs 4.753 million and consumers donated Rs 541,833 for the implementation of the project.
