Bagmati. Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City has constructed two culverts at a cost of Rs 21 million. The sub-metropolitan city has constructed two culverts, one at Khaharekhola in Hariyali on the Hetauda-Nagaswati-Hatiya road section connecting Wards 6 and 7, and the other at Khaharekhola in Ward 8, Omnagar.
The recently completed culverts were jointly inaugurated by Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Meena Kumari Lama and Deputy Mayor Rajesh Baniya. According to the municipality, one culvert was constructed at a cost of Rs. 10.19 million and the other at a cost of Rs. 8.23 million. 986.
Cattle smuggling is increasing
Cattle smuggling has started to increase continuously in Makawanpur. Four people were arrested along with 22 cattle from Basamadi, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-3, along the East-West Highway last night.
While checking a truck (Ba Pra 03-001Kha 3411) coming from Chitwan to Hetauda, the truck driver, Ganesh Magar, 26, of Siddhalek Rural Municipality-2, Dhading, Suraj Pariyar, 25, of Ajirkot Rural Municipality-4, Gorkha, and Kushal Pariyar, 24, of Jitendra Yadav, 56, of Bhokraha Nagarsingh Rural Municipality-3, Sunsari, were arrested, informed District Police Office spokesperson Shyam Aryal.
On the night of March 20, a team of the Armed Police Force and Animal Services Office, Makawanpur, arrested a truck driver from Hetauda, Ganesh Magar, 26, of Siddhalek Rural Municipality-2, Dhading, along with 22 cattle without veterinary documents. A mini-truck with cattle was seized near Nayabasti, Sub-metropolitan City-15.
Based on information that cattle were being smuggled in a mini-truck from Gaindakot in Nawalparasi towards Pathalaiya, a team from the Armed Police Force and the Animal Services Office seized a mini-truck with registration number Pra 2-003-001 Kha 3749 carrying 12 cattle and three cows.
Last Falgun, the Armed Police Force had seized a truck with registration number Ba Pra 3-001 Kha 1424 carrying 25 cattle from Pathalaiya.
