Kathmandu. Nepali Congress MP and former Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that projects that do not show results should be cut. Speaking at the Finance Committee meeting under the House of Representatives held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, he said this.

He said that those that are not on the priority list among the projects proposed and demanded from various sources should be reduced. He suggested that the government not prioritize projects that do not help in production and mobility.

He stressed that projects that do not yield results in road projects are often proposed and should be reduced. Former Finance Minister Mahat expressed confidence that prioritizing population, tourism, and production would yield good results and help in employment.

He said that only if the project is proposed with priority given to returns, it will have a good impact.
