Sarlahi. Necessary materials including bee hives have been distributed to commercial beekeepers here. Bee hives were distributed to 28 commercial beekeepers in the district during a program on Monday.
Sub-project implementation committee chairman Ravi Kadaria said that the necessary materials including bee hives were distributed in collaboration with the Nepal Beekeepers Federation Sarlahi. According to him, the Read Project of the Rural Enterprise and Development Project Bardibas has provided various materials under grants for the professional development of beekeepers.
Federation chairman Dambardev Pandey said that the materials received were distributed to the farmers during a formal program. According to him, the project has covered 28 farmers from Lalbandi, Ishwarpur, Hariwan and Bagmati municipalities under the Chure region of the district.
Pandey informed that 19 beehives, 19 stands, 19 filters, one cap, 19 kg of adaar chaka and 1 pair of gloves were distributed to each farmer at a 46 percent subsidy. Farmer Hemraj Devkota, a beekeeper, said that a machine was also received for the production of collective adaar chaka for 28 farmers.
Chairman Pandey informed that the project has distributed 532 beehives in the first phase for the vocational development of farmers. The material was distributed to the farmers by Harimaya Ghalan, the mayor of Hariwan Municipality. He said that this program will contribute to the sustainable development of farmers.
