Kathmandu. In the first nine months of the current year, imports amounted to 1309 billion 530 million 2838 thousand rupees. Compared to the previous fiscal year 2080/081, imports increased by 12.18 percent. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, imports amounted to 1167 billion 3698 million 9 thousand rupees.
Exports have also increased in the first nine months. Up to Chaitra of the current fiscal year, exports amounted to 188 billion 195 million 70 thousand rupees.
This is 65.16 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, exports were worth Rs 113.946 million 7 thousand.
The trade deficit during the review period reached Rs 112.133 billion 7.768 million. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, such a deficit was Rs 105.342 billion 3.81 million.
The total foreign trade as of Chaitra is Rs 149.7279 million 8 thousand.
In the 9 months of the current fiscal year, the government has collected Rs 343.1161 million 65 thousand in revenue. The most imported items during the review period were petrol, diesel, gas, and soybean oil.
