Surkhet. More than five thousand industries have been liquidated in 10 districts of Karnali Province. Devi Lal Sapkota, head of the Industry and Consumer Protection Directorate, Surkhet, said that 5 thousand 363 industries have been liquidated due to not registering the industries and operating them regularly.
In Khareji, the highest number of industries are established in Dailekh. 1 thousand 675 industries have been liquidated in Dailekh. The second most liquidated is Surkhet. 1 thousand 455 industries have been liquidated in Surkhet.
478 in Kalikot, 587 in Jumla, 21 in Mugu, 502 in Salyan, 427 in Jajarkot, and 51 in Dolpa. Similarly, nine industries have been cancelled in Humla and 158 in Rukum Paschim.
Out of 43,678 industries registered in 10 districts of Karnali, the highest number was registered in Surkhet. The directorate has stated that 14,265 industries have been registered in Surkhet alone.
Currently, only 1,341 industries have been renewed here. Out of 4,748 industries registered in Dailekh, 3,591 industries have been renewed so far. Out of 2,837 industries registered in Kalikot, only 1,936 have been renewed.
Similarly, out of 4,386 industries registered in Jumla, only 2,357 have been renewed, said Office Chief Sapkota. Out of 2,023 industries in Mugu, only 450 have been renewed.
The Directorate has informed that out of 3,663 industries in Salyan, only 3,217 are operational. In Jajarkot, only 1,897 are operational out of 3,068 registered. Similarly, the Directorate has stated that out of 2,236 industries registered in Dolpa, only 922 have been renewed so far.
Out of 3,719 industries registered in Humla, only 736 have been renewed so far.
In Rukum Paschim, only 2,250 industries out of 2,733 industries are operational, according to the statistics of the Directorate of Industry and Consumer Protection, Surkhet. The Directorate has stated that 121,555 people have received employment from these registered industries.
