Tilottama. The foundation stone for the reconstruction of the 60-year-old Shiva-Kalika Temple located in Tilottama Municipality-1, Rupandehi, has been laid. Ward No. 1 Chairman Parashuram Giri informed that the temple, which had fallen into a dilapidated state, will be demolished and a new one will be built with the funds collected from the people of local wards No. 1 and 2.
Provincial MP and former Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Leela Giri stated that it was a matter of joy for her to lay the foundation stone of the Shiva-Kalika Temple for those with religious faith and belief, and drew the attention of the temple management and construction professionals to complete the construction within the specified time limit without compromising on quality.
According to Temple Management Committee Chairman Dadhiram Gautam, the work of rebuilding the temple has been initiated with the active participation of the local people, considering the problems faced by the devotees after the temple built in 2021 BS fell into disrepair. .
Treasurer Pushkarnath Panth informed that funds have been collected spontaneously from the local people for the reconstruction of the religiously important and historical temple. Construction Committee Coordinator Kul Bahadur Bhandari said that the Shiva-Kalika Temple, known as the oldest and center of religious faith in Tilottama Municipality, will be constructed as soon as possible.
