Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwo Prakash Sharma has reiterated that the government’s working style should be changed. On Wednesday, General Secretary Sharma said that the government will not succeed by remaining silent.
He said that the government will be successful only after examining its shortcomings and weaknesses, and said that it is their duty to speak for the success of the government they are involved in. He stressed that the government’s working style should be changed and moved forward since the current government will remain in place.
General Secretary Sharma suggested that if the Prime Minister finds it difficult to work, he should agree to be part of the party’s team. He presented an alternative that would be agreed upon, with the UML team being the Prime Minister and the Congress team being the Prime Minister.
He insisted that the best option was to increase the speed of the government. He said that no excuse should be made to blame the government for the delay in its work. Responding to the statement made by former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, he urged that the government’s criticism be seen as a call for reducing attacks and transforming the government’s pace.
He clarified that Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is also in favor of increasing the speed of work. He also informed that there should be no further delay in addressing the demands of teachers, appointing governors, appointing AIGs, etc.
