Kathmandu. A book exhibition is being held at Nepal Academy with the slogan ‘All languages, all knowledge, academy for everyone’. The exhibition, which was started on the occasion of the New Year 2082 BS, is said to be held until Baisakh 28. Nepal Academy Member Secretary Dr. Dhan Prasad Subedi said that books on Nepali language, literature, culture, art, history, philosophy and sociology are on display at the exhibition.
He said that there is a 60 percent discount on books and magazines published before 2070 BS and a special 40 percent discount for individuals or organizations purchasing books published after 2071 BS). Subedi said that there is a discount of 20 to 25 percent even on dictionaries.
The exhibition includes books and works such as Amarkosh, Nepali Sahitya Kosh, Kautilya’s Arthashastra, Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Confessions, Ishaadi’s nine Upanishads, Greek poet Homer’s Odyssey, Hare Ram Joshi’s Ancient Records, Guman Singh Chamling’s Aristotle, and others.
