Supreme Court issues interim order in favor of Prabhu Bank CEO Sherchan

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has issued a show cause and interim order in favor of Prabhu Bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ashok Sherchan. The Supreme Court has issued an interim order along with a show cause in the tenure dispute.

Sherchan was appointed as the CEO after the merger of Prabhu Bank and Century Commercial Bank. A case was filed in the Patan High Court seeking to annul his appointment. In that case, the Patan High Court had ruled that he should not be appointed for a third term.

CEO Sherchan had approached the Supreme Court against the High Court’s order.
