Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has accused Beijing of backing out of the Boeing deal, saying the White House is now putting the ball in China’s court to decide whether to come to the trade talks.
“The ball is in China’s court. China has to deal with us. We don’t have to deal with them,” Trump’s press secretary Carolyn Levitt said in a statement.
“There is no difference between China and any other country, just a big geographical difference,” he said.
Levitt’s comments came after Trump said he had backed out of a major deal with US aerospace giant Boeing after China. Beijing ordered airlines not to take further deliveries of Boeing jets, following a Bloomberg news report.
