Rupandehi. Prime Minister and Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (UML) KP Sharma Oli has said that efforts to weaken the UML and stop its journey to prosperity and development will not succeed. Addressing an awareness rally organized by the party’s Rupandehi District Committee in Butwal today, he commented that domestic and foreign reactionary elements trying to divide the UML have failed.
Chairman Oli said, “Those who say they will finish the UML and build a UML without KP Oli will not succeed. I will not live long, even after that, leaders stronger than me will come to the party. We ourselves draw the fate of this country’s development.” Those who set fire to people’s houses and steal from shops and run away cannot do anything for revolution and change.’
He said that the democratic republic was brought about through the sacrificial struggle of the people, as there was misrule and disorder in the country during the monarchy and Panchayat period, and the government is making all its efforts to strengthen it. Prime Minister Oli, remembering his reign of misrule and tyranny in the past, urged everyone to contribute to the journey of prosperity and good governance despite the fact that reactionary elements tried to spread chaos and rumors to defame this system without being distracted by it.
Noting that it is useless to follow the principle of innate superiority in the modern era, he said that the current government is determined to fulfill the people’s desire for prosperity and development by strengthening the democratic republic.
Prime Minister Oli emphasized that during the government led by him, many development and technology plans and programs such as various highways, hospitals, international conference centers, meditation centers, and development of agricultural production areas have been introduced in Lumbini. In the meeting, UML Vice Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel emphasized the need to move forward by cutting through the false propaganda that has been used to overshadow the good work done under the leadership of Prime Minister Oli for prosperity and good governance.
UML Secretary and Lumbini Province In-charge Padma Aryal said that they are ready to discuss the work done by the UML and the party leadership and urged not to follow the false propaganda from the opposition and reactionary parties. Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya, Government of Nepal, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari, among others, were present at the program.
