Hydropower companies will not be allowed to launch IPOs without starting production.

Kathmandu. The High-Level Economic Advisory Commission has concluded that there should be stricter restrictions on the issuance of IPOs by hydropower companies. In its report submitted to Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel on Friday, it has suggested that arrangements should be made for hydropower companies to issue IPOs only after they start production.

‘A provision should be made for primary issuances to be made only after hydropower companies start production,’ the commission said in its suggestion.
