Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government is committed to preventing the business environment from deteriorating due to instability.

Addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 59th Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Industry and Commerce Day, Prime Minister Oli said that although the investment environment in the country had deteriorated in the past due to the unstable government, that situation has now ended.

According to him, the investment environment had deteriorated in the past due to policy instability. He also said that the government was committed to reducing and ending corruption in the country. Stating that in the beginning of federalism, local governments were forced to collect taxes themselves, Prime Minister Oli said that a federal system has been established to provide services to the people.

Prime Minister Oli said that the government is running according to the suggestions given by the private sector. He said that the ordinances brought by the government are correct and will help the economy move forward.

He said, “This government has been formed to end the credibility of the government, the unexpected changes in government policies, the negative impact on the business sector, the lack of accountability, the lack of mention of the good things brought by the previous government, and the policy instability. The government is focused on reducing and ending corruption in the country, and how to facilitate service delivery along with good governance.” In the early days of federalism, the local government raised a bamboo pole to collect taxes. If it is the government itself, it has the right to impose taxes, so why not raise a bamboo pole on the road, let’s raise a bamboo pole, let’s collect taxes. We fought for rights, we have rights, and we understand that rights are used.’

Stateing that the relationship between the government and the private sector has progressed in line with the model, Prime Minister Oli announced that the government would take the private sector with it in the coming days as well.
