Palpa. With the onset of summer, the number of tourists in Talpokhara has increased. The number of domestic tourists visiting Talpokhara located in Rampur Municipality-6 is increasing.
There has been an increase in people taking boat rides in Talpokhara, observing the park, and enjoying photos, videos, and tiktok. Talpokhara has become a tourist destination due to the paved road connecting Rampur’s Bejhad Bazaar, Kisanbari Bazaar, and Bijaypur.
Janka Bhandari, a member of the Talpokhara Conservation Committee, said that there is a large presence of tourists visiting during the holidays. Bhandari said that it has become easier for tourists to visit Talpokhara after the access to road facilities. Bhagwan Devkota, a boatman who has five boats in the lake, informed that the rest area in the lake area has been cleaned up. It is said that more than 100 tourists visit daily.
This area has recently developed as an excellent tourist destination after the locals built a well-organized lake and brought it into operation with the aim of developing an ordinary pond that collects water during the rainy season. The Nepal government has also helped in tourism development by listing this area as one of the 100 tourist destinations.
