Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that Nepal is going to fulfill its international relations and responsibilities while protecting its independence, self-respect and national interests. He said this while speaking at the Himalayan Dialogue organized in Kathmandu on Monday. He said that Nepal’s own mountains have done the work of blocking the hot air of the Bay of Bengal.
He said that Nepal’s Himalayan region has played an important role in preventing the ocean from overheating and protecting the world from desertification. He said that unity is needed among diversity as achievements cannot be achieved without unity.
He said that Nepalis unite when national and international problems arise, and clarified that Nepal is in favor of peace and will not join anyone’s strategic alliance.
He said, “Our country is geographically, naturally and culturally diverse. There is a diversity of climate here. Unity among diversity is necessary. Without unity, the achievements we want cannot be achieved. Diversity should not be a curse, but an asset. When national and international problems arise, Nepal should unite and try to solve them. This does not mean abandoning just national interests and ideas with international accountability. We should not engage in collusion politics such as being more friendly with any neighbor. We will not join anyone’s strategic alliance. We are in favor of peace.” This also protects us from desertification, so we have an international responsibility.’
Prime Minister Oli said that just national interests and ideas, along with international accountability, should not be abandoned.
