Myagdi. The Ministry of Urban Development has allocated about Rs. 16 projects related to transport infrastructure construction have been launched at a cost of Rs. 170 million.
The Ministry’s Local Infrastructure Development Project Pokhara has implemented two suspension bridges, nine roads, and three road projects through the Intensive Urban and Building Construction Project Baglung, with various construction companies signing contracts worth Rs. 151.722 million and implementing them.
Two projects with a budget of Rs. 16 million in the current fiscal year are in the contract process, while two projects with a budget of Rs. 11 million have been proposed to the Ministry for resource consent to invite multi-year contracts.
Projects other than suspension bridges Member of the House of Representatives Kham Bahadur Garbuja (Khambir) said that it will be completed within the current fiscal year. According to him, the road infrastructure development program will be implemented on the Pakhapani-Kuinemangale-Malkwang, Construction companies that have signed contracts for the upgrade of the Galeshwor-Dashmure-Mauwaphant-Dagnam-Darmija-Kuinemangale-Ghyasi Kharka road have started construction of slopes, concrete drains and retaining walls.
Through the Alternative Auxiliary Highway Development Program, the Mauwaphant-Dagnam-Darmija-Chimkhola via Kuinemangale, Kuhun-Todke via Jhin, Dosalle-Kafaldada-Nagi of Annapurna Rural Municipality, Chhyarchhyare via Mangala to Tikawang, and Arthunge Deurali-Bharale-Putledhunga road projects of Beni Municipality are being implemented.
Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality, with a budget of Rs. 10 million, The Lulang-Gurja road upgrade project is in the contracting process. The Ministry of Finance has not approved the proposal for a multi-year contract invitation for the project related to the construction of a motorable bridge on the Myagdi River connecting Mangalaghat and Bagarphant in Beni, with a budget allocation of Rs. 5 million.
