Parsa. The Revenue Investigation Office in Pathlaiya has filed a case in the Janakpur High Court against three people for illegally importing 34 tons of onions. According to Hari Prasad Sharma, Chief Investigation Officer of the Revenue Investigation Office, a case has been filed against Janakdulari Devi, the operator of Shiva Parvati Traders, Umesh Yadav, the driver of the Indian freight 16-wheeler lorry truck, and Naresh Yadav, the owner of the truck, for their involvement in the illegal import of 34 tons of onions.
The accused have filed a case with a demand of 36 lakh 58 thousand 100 including damages and fine, alleging that they have committed the offense of illegally importing onions by evading customs inspection while importing onions without passing customs inspection.
Similarly, Yadav, the owner of the 16-wheeler lorry, has been made a defendant and a charge has been registered for the purpose of confiscating the truck. In the current fiscal year, the Revenue Investigation Office has registered 12 cases of revenue leakage.
