##Triveni. Nawalparasi (before Bardaghat Sustapur) A new building has been constructed for the Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital in Nawalpur. The building was constructed at a cost of about Rs 120 million by the Gandaki Provincial Government and Rs 180 million by the Nepal Hilfe Organization.
##Due to the cramped building, it is now easier to provide services in a situation where it is difficult to provide services easily, said Dr. Ramesh Prasad Acharya, Medical Superintendent of the hospital. The new building will start providing services in a few days. The fifteen-bed hospital has been providing services to 80 beds from the old building.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Acharya said that due to the high number of patients, they had to operate more beds than the approved capacity. He said that they had to face a shortage of manpower as the approved capacity was only fifteen beds. Currently, 164 employees including permanent, contract and others are working in the hospital.
##The community-run hospital was converted into a district hospital in 2075 BS. At that time, the Gandaki Provincial Government had established a 15-bed district hospital. The provincial government’s cabinet decision of 2081 Poush 9 promoted this hospital as a provincial hospital.

##The hospital has not even been able to obtain the land ownership rights. Hospital Management Committee Chairman Balkrishna Ghimire said that although initiatives are being taken for the land ownership rights, it has not been in the name of the hospital. He said that due to the lack of land tenure, it has been difficult to get support from other donors and start new work.
##Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey, who came here on Falgun 28 at the hospital’s anniversary program, assured that the hospital would have 100 beds, said Chairman Ghimire.
